Farsight

Farsight, the DJ and producer name of Marshall Smith, is a Peruvian-American artist whose music draws on the UK hardcore continuum and Latin rhythms, combining them with styles including Jersey club, reggaeton, dancehall, trap and breakbeat. The American dubstep boom led him to explore earlier UK dance music, including jungle and hardcore. His music has appeared on 17 Steps, Rinse, CloudCore and Fabric. He grew up in San Jose, California, attended college in Chicago, lived in Los Angeles and later returned to the Bay Area. His releases have also appeared on Scuffed Recordings, Maloca Records, Tropopause Records and Breaks ‘N’ Pieces, a Lobster Theremin sublabel.

In 2021, Farsight released the Renegade EP, which includes a remix by Interplanetary Criminal. The following year brought the Flow State EP, featuring Breaka. His releases also include the Triangulation and Fool Me EPs, and he collaborated with Ardalan on 2 Yr Town. In 2023, he released the El Mago EP, followed by Leche de Tigre / Riptide in 2024. That year, he collaborated with Jialing on an EP. Farsight launched SITUATIONS in 2026 as a label for his music and released the SITUATIONS 001 EP that year, producing, mixing and mastering its four compositions.
