Born in Lucena and based in Córdoba, Kursiva works as a drum-and-bass DJ, producer and sound engineer. His music ranges across drum and bass, with jungle and neurofunk among its strands, alongside reggae and hip-hop influences. Kursiva has also described a shift from that earlier palette towards a more reflective, deeper sound. His debut album, Waveform Shapeshifter, came out on the Belgian label Kinetik. Other labels he has worked with include Technique, Eatbrain, C4C and Jungle Cakes, while South Yard is his own imprint.
In 2017, Kursiva joined Isaac Maya on the single “Mashup Di Place”, featuring Lady Chann. His remix work has included tracks by Benny Page, Ed Solo, Top Cat and Ly Da Buddah. On stage, he has performed internationally at Let It Roll, Dreambeach and Monegros Desert Festival. Alongside those DJ and production roles, Kursiva works as an audio engineer, and his releases range from jungle and ragga jungle to neurofunk-led drum and bass.
