Rob Data is a Glasgow-based drum and bass producer who has also performed as part of the duo Kemal and Rob Data. His work with Kemal contributed to neurofunk’s development in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
After moving to France in 2001, personal and family difficulties led him to take a long break from producing and DJing. During that time, he worked several jobs and studied mathematics and statistics at university. He later returned to DJing at hardcore and jungle events with old friends in Glasgow, and played his first gig outside the city in 14 years in the Czech Republic. Rob Data is also associated with the DSCI4 label.
