Cosmic Tides - Liquid Drum and Bass Session
QQQ ST. Park
19:00 – 01:00
Haden from Bristol based drum & bass duo Ill Truth will be joining us in Melbourne for a special face-to-face Production Sessions Masterclass.
Known for their deep, atmospheric, and sub-heavy sound, Ill Truth have released music on respected labels including Sofa Sound and Symmetry Recordings, while also building their own platform through the launch of Truth Hertz in 2023.
Haden brings over a decade of studio expertise and industry insight to the educational space. Also known for his solo work as Revan and as the founder of audio engineering firm Height Sonics (est. 2019), he bridges the gap between technical theory and high-tier club production.
Holding a degree in Music Production, Haden has delivered over 100 hours of personal
tutoring and led specialised seminars for major UK institutions, including BIMM and dBs.
Across this live 2-hour masterclass, Haden will touch on the following topics:
Creative Production: Detailed workflows for drum programming, bass design,
synthesis, sampling, and arrangement/composition.
Technical Engineering: Professional mixing techniques, preparing tracks for club
sound systems, and finalising songs for mastering.
Industry Insights: Navigating record labels, getting music heard by the right people,
and the reality of "social media vs. the real world" for the modern artist.
Q&A: This will give individuals a chance to expand on anything they wish, or on topics not covered.
The focus is on providing actionable, real-world knowledge that bypasses generic advice in
favour of professional-standard results.
For producers, DJs, and electronic music creatives, this is a unique chance to learn directly from an internationally respected drum & bass duo and gain practical ideas you can apply in your own studio.
Join us for an inspiring production-focused session with Ill Truth.
