AutomAte Tech is a sub-label within the AutomAte family of digital drum-and-bass labels, and AutomAte launched the Tech strand before its other sub-labels. It was set up for heavy dancefloor music, and its releases cover gritty drum and bass across amen, heavy-stepper, neurofunk and hardcore styles. The AutomAte collective was formed by Deficit, Esion, DX Machina and Nathan E, with members based in London and Bristol. Among the artists who have released music on AutomAte Tech are Philth and Instinkt. In 2014, the label released “Poison Remixes,” a single by Philth and Wreckless. Its 2016 single “Kabuki / Gasket” credited Audio Habitat, Instinkt and MC Kryptomedic.
