D-Vine Sounds was established in December 2014 as an independent house label by Sam Divine, Jess Bays and Kamilla Jilani. Divine began searching for unsigned music to release and sought to give emerging producers an outlet for their work. Curtis Gabriel’s “If You Can” became the label’s first release, issued in March 2015. In 2017, the label’s musical scope included party music from different styles, with house as its central sound.
That year, D-Vine Sounds introduced the Deeper D-Vine Series and released two compilations of tracks by various artists annually at the time. Its releases have included music by Jess Bays, Qubiko, Dennis Quin and CASSIMM. Turno’s single “HVAR” was released by the label in 2018. Sam Divine later took a break from the label, and Simon Dunmore stepped in; by 2023, Divine had returned to lead it. Her collaboration with Hayley May, “Face In The Crowd,” marked that return.
D-Vine Sounds also launched the sister label Soul D-Vine, which focuses on soulful house. Its first release came from Australian producer Husky. In March 2024, D-Vine Sounds released the compilation DVINE Sounds Miami 2024.
