Free BPM Organization is a Russian drum-and-bass label founded and led by MJ Free. Its sound draws mainly on old-school styles, including techstep, neurofunk, hardstep and darkstep. Abstractonia and Encode are among the artists to release music on the label, alongside Steel Swatter, Dyslexia and Bastet.
In 2017, Dyslexia and MJ Free issued the album Borgmind on Free BPM Organization on November 17, while Bastet’s four-track techstep release Mindhack EP also appeared that year. The track “Adept” from Bastet’s Mindhack EP features T.Mas. The label put out Brainworm, a single by Encode, MJ Free and Steel Swatter, in 2019, followed by Dyslexia’s five-track Frospunk EP. Abstractonia released Free BPM Renegades Vol.1 in 2020; the label’s output also includes the albums Origin Archives LP, Anthill Chronicles LP and Cold Concrete LP. Its Renegades compilation series reached Vol. 2 in December 2021, with a third volume also among the label’s releases.
