Founded in France in 2000, M-Atome issued drum and bass, with releases spanning neurofunk and liquid. Before its 2005 relaunch, the imprint had put out five singles, two EPs and two mixed CDs. After restarting, it signed artists from outside France, including The Upbeats and Kantyze. Its roster also featured State of Mind and Disphonia, while Jade and Chris.SU appeared together on a release.
M-Atome issued music on vinyl and digitally, and made releases numbered 001 through 007 available in digital form in 2011; those records dated back to 2000. In 2012, Disphonia’s M-Atome Digital 010 and Jade & Chris.SU / State of Mind’s Friends from All Over Part 2 came out on the label. State of Mind followed with M-Atome 019 in 2013. Break Cogne and Secret Vinyl were among its sublabels.
