Onset Audio is a Seattle drum and bass label that grew out of a weekly club night and became a label in 2008, formed by Onset crew members Grym, Flatlyne, Cease and TZR. Grym runs its daily operations and TZR handles mastering. The early nights regularly brought international touring acts to the city, and the label still hosts events and showcases.
Its releases take in halftime, ambient and experimental drum and bass from established and emerging producers, and Dave Owen is among the artists on the label. A January 2017 compilation of halftime and melodic ambient tracks marked a milestone release. Cogun and Traffic released a single on Onset in 2014, and in 2024 the label issued HEFT's Anagram 2 and, that July, Massent's four-track One EP.
