Rotation Deep UK is a London-founded drum and bass label whose releases include Liquid Funk, with deep melodic basslines and intelligent drum programming at the centre of its music policy. It is a sub-label of Rotation UK, an independent imprint based in Birmingham in the Midlands and established by Adam Wheale in 2009. The label’s broader remit spans deep electronic music across multiple genres. Artists who have released music on Rotation Deep UK include Furney, Parhelia, Twintone and Soul Connection.
In 2012, the label issued A Journey Through Time EP, featuring Okee, Kicbea and Parhelia; that year, it also released N4m3’s four-track Empty Planet EP. Twintone’s Fragments Of Love EP followed in 2020. Published in 2013 as the label’s debut LP, the 23-track Definitions of the Deep compilation brought together international artists for a deep drum and bass release. Most tracks were around 170 BPM, while some were at 140 BPM.
