Secret Operations is a drum and bass label based in Stockholm, Sweden. Swedish producer and DJ Seba, whose name is Sebastian Ahrenberg, launched the label in 1999; he later used it as a platform for his own releases. The name came from a drum and bass night he promoted in Stockholm during the 1990s, held at the basement bar Tuben. The label first appeared on the compilation Case One, featuring Seba and other artists, before becoming his release platform in 2002. Its output resumed a regular schedule in 2004.
Seba’s own productions sit alongside music by Paradox, Robert Manos and Krazy. The 2003 single Pieces / Banett paired Lenk with Seba, while other releases brought Seba together with Paradox. In 2017, 15 Years of Secret Operations gathered work by Seba, Lenk, Paradox and other artists. For Seba, the label chiefly provides an outlet for his productions, though he is open to releasing other artists’ music when it appeals to him.
