Swing & Bass is a London event brand and record label that mixes music from the 1920s to the 1970s with modern mashup methods. Its releases cover drum and bass, swing and funk, including remixes of vintage recordings. The first Swing & Bass compilation, issued in 2019, gathered 13 producers and was compiled by Fizzy Gillespie and Dan de’Lion; a second followed in 2020.
Also in 2020, Captain Flatcap released his debut EP Fowl Play on the label, and Mista Trick and Riff Kitten put out Bristol to Minneapolis. Mista Trick and Fizzy Gillespie’s Disco Rollers Vol. 1 reworked disco as drum and bass in 2021, the year the third compilation brought together 19 tracks. Jimi Needles and Hannah Williams released their drum and bass cover Shackles in 2022, and Mista Trick’s Brazilian Soul arrived in 2026. Lottie Jones has also released music on the label.
