Jungletrain.net is a nonprofit internet radio station for jungle and drum & bass, streaming 24/7 without commercials. It began in the Netherlands in December 2001, when josh-hill set up a SHOUTcast server so he could listen to DJ WoodroW practising at home; other DJs including Crucial Carl, Zigmund Void, the GroundKontrol crew and Hungry Tiger soon joined, and the name came from josh-hill's friend Christophe.
The jungletrain.net domain was registered in August 2002, and the station moved to its own dedicated server in Amsterdam in July 2003. Its schedule runs to more than fifty live shows a week, covering underground drum & bass and oldskool jungle, alongside a chat room.
