As a prelude to the “Soul:ution” party at the “Fabric” club on 16 May, Soul:R owner Marcus Intalex and one of Manchester’s strongest MCs, DRS, recorded a special “Mid Mic Crisis” mix. This is the title given to DRS’s second album, which is due to be released in the near future. The baritone of Delroy’s vocals fits perfectly with Marcus’s consistently high-quality selection, filling the dynamic range with rolling basslines, dense drums and soft melodies. The one-hour mix fully reflects DRS’s skill as a vocalist and MC.Approximate tracklist (с)
