24 Kitchen Street is an event promoter and mixed-use venue in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle. Founded in the city in 2011 by Ioan Roberts and Saad Shaffi, it has run events at its own venue and at Brick Street, also in Liverpool. Its music programming includes house, garage, drum and bass and jungle, alongside live performances and other arts events. Line-ups have featured Mandidextrous, Calibre, Sweetly, adamine and All Trades.
The venue has two club rooms on separate floors, with sound systems designed to limit noise between them, and a capacity of 400. Its programme has also included events spanning jazz and broken beat, and SubHarmonic’s Jungle & Jazz night. Sonic Yootha, a queer club night, has held events there as well as at Camp and Furnace. In 2019, nearby residential development posed a threat to the venue; the city council later approved sound-system and insulation measures intended to allow the club and flats to coexist. The space has also hosted grime, acid techno, noise and metal events, alongside gatherings for migrants and political activists.
