Absturz

Absturz is a Leipzig club and promoter at Karl-Liebknecht-Straße 36, in a former GDR canning factory on the Feinkost site, and has been hosting concerts since at least 2011. Its name, meaning “crash”, plays on the owner’s background in computer repair and on Rücktritt, the bicycle shop next door.

Its electronic nights run from techno and trance to drum and bass, hardcore, gabber, hyperpop and hard dance, alongside 80s and 90s parties, rock and Latin nights and live hip-hop. Many events are run with Leipzig collectives and crews, and Snapix, IHOPEIEXIST and Tr One are among the artists who have played.
