AEG Presents Rocky Mountains

AEG Presents Rocky Mountains is based in Denver and produces live events across Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico and Arizona. Chuck Morris became chief executive of the Denver operation in 2007. Don Strasburg started promoting concerts during college in 1990 and helped bring Phish to Colorado that year. Two years later, Strasburg and partners opened the Fox Theatre in Boulder. He later served as co-president of the Rocky Mountains and Pacific Northwest regions before taking the presidency of both in 2024; he leads the Denver office.

Its Colorado venues include Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre, 1STBANK Center, Bluebird Theater, Ogden Theatre and Gothic Theatre, as well as Mission Ballroom and Denver’s Civic Center Park. The promoter announced the Mission Ballroom project in April 2018, working with Westfield Company on the venue in the RiNo neighborhood. Its flexible design allows for capacities ranging from 2,200 to 3,950 guests. From January 2013, AEG Live Rocky Mountains held the operating, management and booking role at the Gothic Theatre in Englewood.

The promoter’s event line-ups have featured Excision, Sammy Virji, Cesco and Papa Jay. Its Stanley Hotel concert collaboration began in 2014 with the Murder by Death series, then expanded in 2018 with plans for about 60 event nights each year. Talent buyer Scott Campbell spoke in 2024 about AEG Presents’ involvement in Denver’s dance-music scene and his work at Red Rocks Amphitheatre and Mission Ballroom. In that year, AEG Presents Rocky Mountains promoted more than 1,100 events annually, from clubs and theaters to stadiums.
