Assemble Univ

Assemble is one of the largest student-focused, all-genre DJ events in Japan, bringing together DJ collectives from universities and vocational schools across Japan, as well as student DJs and trackmakers.

The event mainly focuses on bass music, hard genres, and “subculture” styles—such as remixes of Japanese anime songs and Vocaloid tracks.

We host events four times a year at CIRCUSTOKYO. In addition, we organize genre-focused events and regularly take over floors for night events on a bi-monthly basis.

Through our events, we aim to create a space where young people in Japan—including those who are unfamiliar with club music or have never been to a club—can discover new music and culture.

All performers are students, ranging from beginners who have just started DJing to artists who are already active at the forefront of large-scale events.
