BassClef

BassClef is a Bangkok promoter started in 2013 by DJ Orawan Suppasupphawat with friends including MC Emon. The early parties were about sound-system music in general, but the focus shifted towards drum and bass as that became what the crowd came for, with jungle, bass music, UK garage and UK house still part of the mix.

Its nights have moved between Irie Bangkok, Blaq Lyte Rover, DECOMMUNE and Beamcube. LTJ Bukem, Fabio & Grooverider, Benny Page and The Upbeats are among the international names it has brought to Thailand. BassClef has also run charity parties, the third of them in February 2020 with the Sirisaro Foundation, and in May 2024 it hosted the launch of Springhead Recordings, a dark minimal drum and bass label.
