Boundless Beatz

Boundless Beatz is a Leipzig drum and bass crew, event series and record label. It started as a radio show in 2007 and held its first big party at Westwerk the following year. audite founded the project and ran it alone at first; Dubbalot joined in 2013, and Sophia is among the core Leipzig members of a wider group of DJs and producers from Leipzig, Mainz, Cologne and Ukraine. Its events have taken place at Westwerk and Distillery and outdoors at Friedenspark, sometimes together with other local promoters and venues.

The parties cover drum and bass, dubstep, ragga jungle and liquid funk, with 1990s hip-hop alongside. A newcomer competition started in 2012, and its winner, dreadmaul, earned a support slot for Joe Syntax at Distillery; the Newcomer Rollout has since given party slots to young DJs and producers such as Cook!. The crew has also produced a podcast.

In 2015 Boundless Beatz became a record label, launched with an event at Distillery. dreadmaul supplied the first release, and later records brought music from Enei, Command Strange, Chimpo and Grey Code, with the label also stretching to breaks, dub and dub techno.
