BrainiacRecords

BrainiacRecords is a Manchester event collective organised by Joe Simpson, Liam White and Oscar Wheatley. Its parties have been held at The Bread Shed, Kable Club and Gorilla, and it has shared promotion with Beatz On Toast and Fishing For Bill. The musical programme covers drum and bass, jungle and hardcore, with footwork also included at a 2024 Rebellion event. Wheatley performs under the name Sweetly, using live breakbeats and drawing on early-1990s jungle and old-school hardcore.

Its Kable Club nights, starting with one headlined by Samurai Breaks, have featured and local artist Metrodome, while Sweetly and Ray Keith have appeared on other Brainiac bills. A 2025 collaboration with Fishing For Bill featured Voltage and Ray Keith, alongside Strategy, with Big Tone Sound System providing the sound. On March 20, 2026, Brainiac celebrated four years of events in Manchester with a party featuring Raze Soundsystem.
