Brooklyn Loves UKG

Brooklyn Loves UKG is a Brooklyn-based collective and party series operating in New York City. Lovelydaze and SHMOOKYY, friends and musical collaborators, started it in January 2024. Its events span UK garage, jungle, drum and bass and breaks, with Lord of Ciphers as resident MC.

The parties have taken place at Our Wicked Lady, The Gutter, Cargo @ Dead Letter No. 9 and The Woodshop. The monthly series moved from Our Wicked Lady to Main Drag Music in Williamsburg; in 2025, it held a farewell monthly party at Our Wicked Lady, where the series began. Artists booked have included Lovelydaze, Lord of Ciphers, Castillonaire and Sasha Rome. In 2025, Brooklyn Loves UKG launched the New York label BK Loves Recs, focused on UK garage, drum and bass and jungle, with an event at Baby’s All Right. For a Halloween event at Our Wicked Lady in 2024, the promoter collaborated with Open Present. The label launch featured tonton’s “Calling All The Time,” and announced a later release by Castillonaire.
