Budapest Park is an open-air concert and party venue on Soroksári út in Budapest’s District IX, near the Pest end of Rákóczi Bridge, open from late spring to early autumn. Founded by András Pálffy, it opened in 2012 on the site of a former tram depot with a Republic concert, and its first season brought 98 major concerts and 510 performers along with parties, exhibitions, theatre and dance.
Architect Imre Rimóczi designed the venue to be assembled from shipping containers; by 2023 the structure used 343 containers and more than 100 floor elements. It has three music areas, led by the Main Stage, which turns into a dance floor for DJ sets after concerts, plus party spaces such as Beefeater Urban Jungle and the Unicum Retro Garden for 80s, 90s and 2000s hits.
Its own party series include Nights of Budapest Park and Surreality Nights, and its electronic bookings have included E-Z Rollers, Freestylers, Chris.SU and DJ Reza. The park’s motto is “Leave reality behind.”
