Caetano Capurro is a multi-genre event promoter based in Nottingham, where he has staged events at The Model, Bar Eleven and Fisher Gate Point. A DJ and poet from Uruguay, he has a background in theatre directing and writing. In 2024, he founded RESONATE, a Nottingham drum-and-bass night focused on queer people and people of colour. Its music has ranged from broken beat to jungle, and Chinese Daughter has appeared on a line-up. An Early Career Promoter Fund grant supported three RESONATE events and development of the night’s production and capacity; the project also had plans to become a record label.
Capurro co-hosts Free Minds, a free poetry open mic at The King Billy pub in Sneinton, with Jasmine McCallion. He started the night after joining GOBS Collective and performing at the Nottingham Poetry Festival and Speech Therapy, having organised events before. By 2025, RESONATE had held three events.
