Club Glow began in Washington, DC, in October 1999, founded by Antonis Karagounis and Pete Kalamoutsos with a George Acosta event at Zei Club. Karagounis had seen Acosta perform at the Winter Music Conference and was inspired to bring him to Washington. Its weekly programme now runs at Echostage and Soundcheck, alongside regional festivals, concerts and special events.
In 2012, Club Glow established Echostage, a 3,000-capacity Washington venue where it directs bookings. Its large events have taken place at the DC Armory and RFK Stadium, and its projects include Project GLOW at RFK Festival Grounds and a Block Party series on Pennsylvania Avenue. It has also hosted Clubhouse Festival in Laurel and Moonrise Festival, and co-hosted Preakness InfieldFest in Baltimore. Armin van Buuren and Ferry Corsten held alternating twice-monthly residencies from 2001 to 2003.
In 2011, Club Glow partnered with Live Nation on electronic music events at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia, and The Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland. The promoter received Best U.S. Club nominations at the International Dance Music Awards in 2011 and 2012. Insomniac Events acquired Club Glow in 2020, with Echostage and Soundcheck included in the deal.
