Contralux

Stockholm-based Contralux stages drum and bass events at Slakthuset, Kollektivet Livet Bar & Scen, Skeppsbar and Fållan. Its programme spans club sessions, forest and beach parties, and bowling nights, with some events centred on dancefloor DnB. The organisers began putting on parties to bring Sweden the melodic festival sound they had encountered abroad. Their stated goal is to make the music more accessible to new listeners in Stockholm and support growth of the scene across Sweden.

Johannes and Karim founded Contralux after meeting at Liquicity festival in the Netherlands. They work with Rad, responsible for social media content, and Adam, who handles production and DJs. The promoter’s first event, titled Genesis, took place at Skeppsbar on March 1, 2025. Artists appearing at its events include T & Sugah, Kutlo, ItsOk and Licia. Contralux has also presented a night featuring Dutch duo T & Sugah at Fållan.
