Counterpoint.pt

Counterpoint.pt operates from Porto, Portugal, and has been active since 2013 as an independent collective producing events, managing talent and releasing music. Its underground bass programme spans drum and bass, bass, breakbeat and jungle. Events have taken place at Era uma vez no Porto and Café-Concerto RUM by Mavy in All, including a monthly residency at Era uma vez no Porto during 2023 and 2024.

Counterpoint Recordings, established in 2014, is linked to the promoter, and label releases have appeared at its events. Residents Xeixas, Bankz and Denial.exe have been associated with the project, alongside appearances by PIX.L. In 2024, members of the collective began curating events on a monthly basis. The promoter introduced FOCUS in 2026, a series devoted to selected drum and bass subgenres, with its opening edition focused on deep, techy sounds. A fifth-anniversary event took place at Hard Club in Porto on 13 July 2018.
