Def:inition

London is the base for Def:inition, a promoter of drum and bass and jungle founded in 2005. It began with monthly club nights before expanding to larger events, which have taken place at Electric Brixton and The Steel Yard. The promoter also staged multi-arena Soundclash events at Club Hidden, including an eight-hour, three-arena edition in February 2011. DJ Inter was its driving force in 2013, when events were promoted in the UK and abroad, including Canada, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium and Cyprus. Def:inition has held events elsewhere in Europe as well.

Artists appearing at its events have included IC3, b-line, DJ Hype, DJ Rap and Ego Trippin. Def:inition organized an annual drum-and-bass fundraiser for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity; the series reached its ninth edition in January 2019, and the promoter’s charity events have raised more than £65,000. Joint birthday events with Breakin Science took place at The Coronet in 2017 and Troxy in 2019. In January 2026, Def:inition Events published drum-and-bass mixes associated with GOSH 2025.
