E1

E1 is a London club and event promoter based in Wapping, East London. Yuval Hen and Oren Arush developed it from Studio Spaces, an event and photography facility that began in 2012; the venue opened as E1 in 2017, in a former car factory on Pennington Street. Its two main rooms are the Warehouse and Black Studio. E1 has hosted London promoters including Percolate, Volt and LWE, and has also run events at Onyx, in the same complex.

The club books techno, house, drum and bass, trance and UK garage. Drum and bass line-ups have included Eksman, Heist, Zeph Miles and Grima & Azza. E1 opened with a 27-hour New Year’s Eve event in 2017. The E1 team added Onyx, a two-room club, in 2025, while E1 launched a promoter mentorship programme that June, providing selected promoters with marketing, financial and booking support.
