Essential Freaks

Essential Freaks is a Florida event promoter formed by Zak Davis and FACTORe, and Davis also founded the production companies bassic and Essential Bass. The group produces events around Florida, including Tampa Bay, and has held events at The Castle there and at Flash in Washington, DC. Its music spans breaks, jungle, house and drum and bass, with melodic techno, tech house and progressive house also represented. Event bills have included Blak, Brian Busto, DJ Three and Gene Farris.

Essential Freaks has presented events under its Season 4 and Season 5 banners, including a Season 4 event at Hotel Venezia in Venice, Florida. A Madeira Beach bill presented the act as FACTORe versus Zak Davis and named Paul Santana as a resident DJ. The promoter co-presented The Get Down during Miami Music Week at Kemistry in Fort Lauderdale, with breakbeat and electro on the lineup.
