Fox & Firkin

Fox & Firkin is a London event promoter whose events have taken place at The Fox and Firkin on Lewisham High Street. The pub opened in Lewisham in 1980 as part of the Firkin Brewery chain, having previously traded as the Black Bull. Owner Didier took it on around 2014 after developing The Magic Garden in Battersea.

Its programme spans bass, electro, dub, reggae, soul and afrobeats, alongside the venue’s wider live-music calendar. Line-ups have included London Elektricity, Ray Keith, Nookie (UK) and Grooverider; other bookings have included Five Alive. The venue’s music programmer manages four regular nights and books artists for four or five other music nights each week. Its garden serves as a second event space for summer mini-festivals, and the venue also hosts rock nights. Inside is a 1950s Kent and East Sussex first-class train carriage. The Fox and Firkin team registered the Firkin Brewery brand in 2020 and resumed brewing in Lewisham in 2023.
