Fuchs2

Fuchs2 is based on Štvanice Island in Prague 7, where it opened in December 2018 as a winter pop-up in the former Face2Face venue before becoming a long-term cultural space. The building was designed by Josef Fuchs and Bohumil Steigenhöfer as a restaurant linked to the island’s ice stadium in 1932. Refurbished as a disco in the late 1980s, it later closed around 2011.

The main hall hosts concerts and club nights, while Salo is chiefly devoted to experimental electronic music. Artists appearing at Fuchs2 events have included mʊdʌki, Koherent, Fabio FC and GEST (UK). The building also contains Bike Jesus, which hosts alternative music parties, and a clubhouse with activities for children and teenagers. Visual artists have worked with Fuchs2 on event lighting, and rooftop art installations have been presented since 2020. In October 2021, the venue hosted the Prague debut of a Sh!tlabel collaboration featuring Boris and live duo LOFN. Fuchs2 presents itself as a space for alternative culture and rejects violence and discrimination.
