Fucine Vulcano is an association based in Milan, Italy, founded there on October 14, 2013, by local residents working on sustainable mobility and design innovation. Before its formal establishment, the group operated Ciclofficina Digitale at the Ohibò Kashba cultural association. Since 2014, its activities have included events and projects promoting sustainability, alongside cultural, artistic, musical, recreational and social programming. Earlier work included a bicycle workshop and a reuse lab at Milan’s former slaughterhouse and Cascina Nosedo.
The association’s first premises were at Viale Molise 62, where it held events combining social, cultural, artistic and musical activities. It opened LABBICI at Cascina Nosedo in summer 2016 as a multipurpose space for creative work, reuse and bicycle mechanics. After leaving Viale Molise in 2017, Fucine Vulcano focused its activities at LABBICI; that project ended the following year when its concession expired. In 2017, the group also hosted exhibitions by young local artists.
From April 2019, Fucine Vulcano managed and began renovating an industrial site at Via Fabio Massimo 15/12 in Milan’s Corvetto area for community use. Studio Vulcano, created that year, supports creative multimedia activities in the recovered space near Porto di Mare. Its dedicated 120-square-metre area is configured for creative productions and performances. Events at Fucine Vulcano have featured Mr. James, DNN, Waldo and Akrom (IT). In 2025, the venue hosted a Drum and Bass Italia event with outdoor, indoor and main stages, featuring Italian crews, DJs, artists and producers.
