Futuresound Events

Futuresound Events is a Leeds promoter that has been putting on music and events across the UK since 1994. It grew out of a partnership between the promoters of two Leeds club nights, the indie night Brighton Beach and the rock and metal night The Garage, and for two decades ran The Cockpit, a three-room Leeds venue that closed in 2014.

In 2007 Futuresound and Leeds City Council staged the first Live at Leeds, with around 50 bands across city-centre venues to mark Leeds’s 800th birthday. Its festival brands now include Live at Leeds in the Park and in the City, plus shows at Ludlow Castle, York Museum Gardens and Kirkstall Abbey, while Slam Dunk grew from an early-2000s club night into a rock and alternative brand. The group stages more than 400 shows a year, and its venues include The Wardrobe and The Key Club.

Its club events at The Wardrobe, Belgrave Music Hall and Newcastle’s The Grove have brought drum and bass names such as Goldie, Dillinja and Ant TC1 to its bills.
