Ghost Media

Ghost Media is a Wellington, New Zealand event promoter run by Casper de Wit, who performs as Young Gho$t. Active since 2018, it presents local and international artists and began as a one-person operation to book Casper and performers who were not getting opportunities. Its events initially focused on hip-hop before moving toward rave-oriented electronic music, drawing on hip-hop, punk, hardcore and metal. The programme spans drum and bass, jungle, garage and breaks, and events have featured DJ Hybrid, Doc Scott and Sully.

Ghost Media has worked with the Further Sound, Third Eye Hi-Fi and Tubs Audio sound systems, and collaborated with Third Eye Hi-Fi on events featuring international DJs. In 2023, it co-presented Kyrist’s first Aotearoa show with Rhythm Output and Full Time Senders. The following year, it joined Support Your Local Collective to present a Wellington show by Soul Mass Transit System. Casper also runs the Garage Sale events with Noyer.
