Grün&Gold

Grün&Gold is an event space in Heidelberg, Germany, run by the association Hip Hop Heidelberg e.V. It occupies Am Karlstor 1 in the city’s Old Town, inside the former Karlstorbahnhof, a listed building that previously housed Klub K. The premises stood empty after the cultural centre relocated, until the city rented the space to the association in autumn 2023. Grün&Gold opened with a celebration in March 2024.

The programme covers urban and electronic music, including techno, trance, drum and bass and jungle. Earlier occupants of the building included CocoLoco and Klub K, which hosted parties there over a long period and were part of Heidelberg’s nightclub scene. Waeys and Inja have appeared on line-ups, and recurring party names include Silbergeburt and Going Nuts!, a night for drum and bass, dubstep and jungle.
