Founded in 2024, Hyrax Club is a London-based collective working across experimental music and visual art, with activity in the UK, Europe and Japan. Its sound ranges from underground electronic music to avant-garde orchestral work and acoustic soundscapes, while event programming has covered house, techno, drum and bass and psytrance. The collective’s VJs use code and technology to create live visuals and lighting that react to performances.
Hyrax Club has staged events at Egg London and Club Makossa, combining DJ sets with visual art and VJ performances. Event names include The Gunpowder Plot (A/V Experience), East by South East and AFTR/DARK, which brought drum and bass and tech house to Egg London. Artists on its line-ups have included choose1, Slencho, Jawrs and Ludwig B. It runs as a voluntary, non-profit organisation.
