Interstellar Audio

Interstellar Audio is a Nottingham drum and bass promoter and label run by Russ, a Midlands DJ, label owner and occasional producer who plays as Cellar. Its sound is deep and soulful, and the team behind it is spread across the United Kingdom, New Zealand and Sweden.

The main event is Transmissions, a monthly night at The Chapel in Nottingham that mixes deep, dark and soulful selections and gives emerging artists and local crews the same billing as better-known names rather than relying on headliners. Interstellar Audio has also put on parties at The Chapel Angel Microbrewery, Hidden Warehouse and Nottingham Secret Garden, played The Eagle Inn in Manchester, worked with Sheffield's It Hertz and taken over a room at Detonate's Bank Holiday event. Cellar and Jinbu have shared the decks at its nights, alongside guests such as alfs and Ed:it.

In 2023 the crew held three events, among them the Interstellar Audio Garden Party with its artists and residents, and the label released more than 70 tracks by over 35 artists. Releases include Heymac's Cerasus, the Intentions EP and Frontiers Volume 1, a charity compilation for the Ukrainian Red Cross Society.
