JUMUNJY-BAR

JUMUNJY-BAR is an event promoter operating in Cornwall and elsewhere in the United Kingdom. Its events have taken place at Jumunjy Bar in Cury Cross Lanes, near Helston, and at a Jumunjy Bar venue in London. The Cornwall site is an outdoor venue, with a DJ booth inside the bar and in its garden; music events are held there on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The music spans drum and bass, dub, breakbeat and house, including tech house.

Jumunjy was founded in 2003 on Koh Phangan, Thailand, by T and his wife Phansa, also known as Bim. Their business there combined a restaurant and nightclub. The founders returned to the UK in 2010, and Jumunjy’s current base is The Old Post Office at Cury Cross Lanes, a 16th-century stone building in Cornwall. Before the business expanded into home delivery and a purpose-built kitchen, Bim hosted Thai Tuesdays dining events at The Old Cellars in Cadgwith. Urbandawn, Kleu and Villem have appeared at JUMUNJY-BAR events.
