Liquid Funktion

Liquid Funktion is an Edinburgh promoter of drum and bass and jungle events, established in 2016 by founding team members BC and Scavenger. Its events have taken place at The Mash House and The Bongo Club in Edinburgh. Line-ups have included imo-Lu, Winslow, Skeptical and GLXY, alongside DJ Blackcat and Nabee.

In November 2022, Liquid Funktion returned to The Mash House for the opening party in a new series, working with local crew GRDN, its DJs and sound system. The promoter’s Chronology series traces drum and bass history; its fourth instalment was held at The Mash House in September 2023. In 2025, Liquid Funktion co-promoted the Fringe Drum & Bass Link-Up at the same venue, with Blackcat and Scavenger/LFX among the DJs on the bill. In September 2019, a collaboration with Space Cadet brought Liquid Funktion to La Belle Angele, where the event featured Blindside, resident DJs and MC DRS.
