Lost Horizon HQ

Lost Horizon HQ operates in Bristol, where its events are held at Lost Horizon, an independent arts centre and bar on Elton Street in St Jude’s. The project began in 2021, started by the team responsible for Glastonbury Festival’s Shangri-La. The venue has a capacity of 350 and presents club nights, live music, visual art and performances, alongside workshops, exhibitions, theatre, conferences and markets. It also has a digital twin capable of reproducing performances in virtual reality as they happen.

Horizontal is a weekly night focused on Bristol’s underground music, including drum and bass and UK garage, with resident DJs and visiting artists. It uses a Danley sound system. Past Lost Horizon HQ line-ups have featured Kelvin 373, Makoto and Deefa. In 2023, the promoter hosted a monthly Time Is Now residency, bringing together label artists and guests such as Main Phase and Borai. PHAT, a femme security firm, staffs the venue’s entrance exclusively.
