LWE

Based in London, LWE has organised parties since 2010. LWE’s founders were Will Harold, Paul Jack and Alice Favre. Their earlier event work spanned Bournemouth, Nottingham and London. Its debut was a Pryda event featuring Eric Prydz at Great Suffolk Street on 31 July 2010. LWE developed artist- and label-led parties for unconventional sites, including warehouses and temporary spaces, with large sound systems and electronic music performers.

Its London venues have included XOYO, The Fox and Firkin, Corsica Studios, Tobacco Dock and Printworks; it has also presented events at Quarters in Brighton. Other locations have included Old Fountain Studios and Boston Manor Park, where Junction 2 Festival takes place. LWE’s programming has covered house, techno, disco and drum and bass. Artists appearing at its events have included Goldie, Grooverider, Cleveland Watkiss and Benny Page.

LWE produces Junction 2, elrow Town London, ION Festival and Siso Festival, as well as individual shows at London venues and elsewhere. It co-hosted Junction 2 Festival, brought elrow and Arcadia events to London, and secured an under-motorway-bridge site for Junction 2. In 2013, it curated events at Building Six at The O2 and held its first sold-out Brixton Academy show with RAM Records. LWE became Tobacco Dock’s exclusive music promoter and began holding large New Year’s Day events there in 2014.

LWE developed and promoted Printworks London’s first two seasons, and its final event at the venue was held on 1 January 2018. After Junction 2 was unable to proceed in 2020, LWE created J2V, a format linking digital and physical events.
