Merimell

Merimell is a Tallinn-based event promoter who runs events in the Estonian capital. She founded Machine Nation, a Tallinn event series that began in 2011 as a techno night. The series has used separate stages for techno, house and drum and bass, and its events have included Hall. Merimell was named as its founder at the series’ 14th-anniversary event in Tallinn in February 2025, which had three stages.

Merimell is also a techno DJ and producer. Her first performance was at Club Atlantis, where she helped organise youth discos and initially played hardstyle. Event line-ups have included Fok Yee, Cly/Suva, QSLAP and SABINĒ. Machine Nation later became connected with her weekly techno programme on Estonian national radio, and she hosted a techno show of the same name on Raadio 2. Her 2022 single “Breatharian” came out on the UK label Moments in Time Records.
