Misfits

Misfits is a Melbourne event promoter and music venue at 30 Chambers Street in Footscray. Founded by Jacob Bell, Amber Hahipene and Jerry Poon, it opened in March 2024 in the former Baby Snakes space. The venue hosted DJ nights and live shows, with programming across drum & bass, garage, breaks and jungle. Artists booked there included Plastician, Doc Scott, Jael and Arthi. Misfits was also established as a music and arts space to present emerging talent and host events for the local community. Denham Audio was among the other artists hosted there.

Misfits ran a winter series in 2025, with INUKA curating its drum & bass, garage and breaks programme. It also co-promoted ESP LTD events with The Operatives, including shows featuring Plastician and Jael. Other nights at the venue covered bass and funk and soul, with performances by Marvel Years and Vincent Antone on the Misfits Sound System. Misfits announced its closure for July 2026, after two years of operation.
