MO7 Recordings

MO7 Recordings is an independent drum and bass label and event promoter based in Changsha, China. Murcor founded it there in 2020 after moving to China and finding the genre little known. Its music centres on drum and bass, particularly deep and minimal sounds. The first release, “Vexed”, was completed by Murcor with Toronto producer Yatuza. The label sets out to support drum and bass across Asia. Its sound also favors pared-back percussion and dark sub-bass, with tracks intended to make an immediate impression on first listen.

MO7 has held events in Changsha and Guangzhou, and used EXIT in Shanghai and Pillbox Beijing in Beijing. Its events have also featured Murcor and Purrppl, while the label has released music by Stranjah. A 2025 fourth-anniversary tour included Shanghai, Hong Kong and Tokyo. In 2026, MO7 marked its fifth anniversary with a Hong Kong event featuring OVERVIEW, Klinical and Wingz. The label launched near the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and restrictions later disrupted its events and anniversary touring.
