Momentive

Momentive is a Los Angeles promoter of underground drum and bass events with live art, vendors and performers. It began staging parties there in 2016, and Chief Jesta created the brand. Its events have featured visiting artists and labels, including international debuts by Alix Perez, Monty and Ewol, as well as Flexout Audio and Overview Music.

In 2022, Momentive launched Momentive Recordings to support Southern California bass-music producers, centering darker drum and bass and heavier, more experimental sounds. The label’s first collection, Omphalos Vol. 1, featured tracks by dela Moon, Axja and Keerd. In September 2024, Momentive presented Overview Music’s Los Angeles debut.
