Niche Productions is a Sydney-based touring company and artist-booking agency, established in 2004 by James Browning, who runs the business. It arranges tours in Australia and overseas, and has handled shows for artists including Fat Freddy’s Drop, Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Jazzanova and Nia Archives. Its work has centred on soul music, alongside electronic acts. Events have taken place at Enmore Theatre in Sydney, The Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane, Metro City in Perth and Pica in Melbourne.
In 2017, Niche Productions partnered with agent Daniel Sant to start Niche Talent Agency, which represents emerging artists and seeks bookings across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and other markets. The company co-promoted Movement, a weekly Friday electronic-music night at Bondi’s Beach Road Hotel, in 2012. In 2022, it and BLOOM. launched SYNC, a monthly party for underground dance and electronic music at Club 77, with emerging artists and live performers.
