NX Newcastle is a live music and club venue on Westgate Road in Newcastle upon Tyne, run by Electric Group. The building opened as the New Westgate Picture House in 1927, became the Majestic Ballroom in 1959, and later operated as the Carling Academy and the O₂ Academy Newcastle, hosting acts from The Beatles and The Who to Arctic Monkeys and Adele.
Electric Group took over in 2022 and reopened the venue as NX Newcastle in September that year after a £2.7 million refurbishment. It holds 1,550 people for live shows and 2,100 for club nights, and a second room with its own bar takes 350.
The programme mixes live shows with club nights. Dirty Pop, Ikon Live and Alpha have all run there, Alpha having moved in from elsewhere in 2014, and drum and bass bookings have included Shy FX, Nia Archives, A.M.C, Pendulum and D Double E.
