Peniche Mecanique

Peniche Mecanique is a bar and event promoter based in Strasbourg, France, presenting concerts, live performances and club nights at La Péniche Mécanique. The floating venue occupies a former barge in the Austerlitz basin, on the Presqu’île André-Malraux, and opened as a café-theatre in 2020. Shahram Yazdani took charge in August that year.

Its programme spans breakbeat, techno, house and bass, alongside live music and stand-up. Line-ups have included ESC, spectr and Zhar, while the 2024 Club in House event paired house music with a house-dance workshop. The venue also hosts Les Mécaniques du rire, a comedy-club night developed with comedian Cyrielle Knoepfel. It marked its fifth anniversary with a two-day music event in July 2025, including open decks. Club nights have included CLUB BING, featuring breakbeat and techno artists, and “I’M NOT A DJ,” which focused on live electronic performances.
