Planet V

Planet V is the events arm of London drum-and-bass label V Recordings, operating in London and at venues in other cities. Organised by V Recordings, it began running events in 1997, with Bryan Gee and Jordan V fronting the nights. Early parties took place at Bagleys and The End, and the opening night at Fabric was among its first events.

Its venues have included Fabric, Cable, Ministry of Sound and The Qube Project in London, as well as Sawmills in Bristol. A London residency at The Qube Project followed Cable’s closure in 2016. The music programme draws on V Recordings and associated labels Liquid V, Chronic and Philly Blunt. Artists booked have included Bryan Gee, DJ Die, Krust and Roni Size.

Planet V staged a three-room event at Cable with Samurai Music. In 2019, a party at The Steel Yard marked the launch of V Recordings’ Future album. Planet V Live launched at Peckham Audio in 2020 with an event focused on vocalists and MCs.
